I want to ride my...elcycib?

"Did you know that 60 percent of inventors are severely dyslexic? I can't spell or balance a checkbook, but I can visualize really well. So it wasn't hard to figure out what I needed to create, a seat that would flex and move under the rider." Jeri Rutherford, from Eugene, OR said to KATU.

After a grueling 400 mile bike ride from Boise to the West coast her back hurt so incredibly bad she couldn't stand. This is when she decided she was going to design the world's most comfortable bike seat inspired by "those NIke shoes that flex."

She went through about 40 prototypes in her garage, cost her thousands of dollars getting patents, finding the right people to work with when finally-voila! Her lucky break came at a trade show, where she met a woman from Taiwan who makes 80 percent of all the bicycle seats sold in the United States.

Jeri said, "She met with me, looked at my seat, looked at me and smiled and said, 'Smart. I make.' She tapped her head with a pencil and said, 'Good.' "

From there she developed her company Ride Out Technologies. Her main goal is to keep people exercising and staying on their bikes. She even created special seats for males who are on their bikes for extended periods of time, like police men and security patrolmen. 30% of all men who are affected by erectile dysfunction are suffering due to uncomfortable seats...well not anymore!

Check our her website for the variety of products she has created in order to make you more comfortable.
